Holistic Poker Coaching
Reviews
I have found watching final tables to be one of the most helpful ways to learn poker. Stream gives you a substantial amount of info and an insight inside each pro and by dissecting that info, you gain a great understanding of the game. Over the years, I would pick one player and watch all of his streams to be able learn and get an edge. Having analyzed 3 previous players, I decided it was time to move to a familiar name in the poker community. Having met Andrew at a friend’s party back in 2010, I decided to analyze his game. After watching him for 6 months, I decided to reach out to Andrew for some in person lessons. I particularly liked his style of pot control and his conservative yet aggressive plays. Watching him was very entertaining and educational. Upon meeting, I had many equations and Andrew was very attentive and thorough in explaining concepts and strategies. We also went over a few hands and he broke down each hand very thoughtfully and explained each scenario. The best part was that I didn’t not feel rushed and it was never him ending the session. I can see how passionate he is about the game and that goes beyond anything else that an instructor or a pro can bring to the table. The notes he went over with me felt a bit heavy at the time since it’s difficult to guage each player and where they are in their poker career. I still refer back to those notes and I feel like it was the most valuable lesson to date. His calm demeanor is inviting and I basically can writer a novel on this kid. Thanks for all your help and guidance my bro.
DavisChewy is patient and thorough. He is willing to meet me on my level and explain concepts to me, such as range advantage, that I know are very simple to him. Chewy has a positive approach. He is honest, but not critical, always emphasizing kindness to oneself throughout the learning process. Chewy started as a mentor and became a friend.
TatumFrom the days of watching Chewy on 2 months, 2 million to following his career to date, and finally having the privilege of doing some coaching with him, it's clear why he's still around and has had tremendous success in the world of poker. I came in with expectations to improve my fundamentals, theoretical understanding of game theory, and how to apply this in the real world at the stakes I currently play at. Chewy delivered on all fronts, and then some! The thing I appreciate the most is the encouragement to lean into gut feelings and instincts, which can often be overlooked when doing solver work. I wholeheartedly recommend that anyone looking for individual coaching reach out to Chewy, regardless of experience level. I appreciate you, Chewy!
